Manufacturing Engineer
Intrepid Industries Inc. - Houston, TX. - 2018-2021
Worked day-to-day in the automation of manufacturing plastic products, such as safety gates and piping, using a proprietary polyurethane, Instant Set Polymer (ISP) using Reaction Injection Molding (RIM). Involved in all phases - design, creation, changes, setup, production, quality control, and troubleshooting.
Operated production and manufacturing equipment - hydraulic press molds, Universal Robots, custom end of arm tooling, chemical storage, industrial robots, HMIs, packing machines, conveyors, electronic control circuitry, PLCs and more.
Troubleshot/repaired said machinery in a consulting and internal context, including Root-Cause Analysis on processes such as parts machining, injection molding, packaging, labeling for inventory control, materials transport/ handling, and more.
Automation of the process helped Intrepid quadruple revenue, triple production, and double the work force.
Used Fusion 360 and SolidWorks in creating 2D and 3D drawings and models - to design small parts and fittings to spec for both internal and client use - followed client and internal demands to design functional parts
Fabricated said parts with CNC milling and machine shop skills, using a variety of materials such as plastic, metal and wood, as needed
Automated various production requests, like, uncovering and covering chemical tanks on a schedule, assembling pallets from raw planks, and fastening pipe fittings as per Process Qualification protocols.
Consulted for a variety of manufacturing processes and environments including Plastics/Metal Fabrication, Medical Device Manufacturing and Chemical Manufacturing - observed standards in Federal Medical Standards and Chemical Safety
Instructed/communicated with operators in usage of machinery and assisted with production on the floor, and created documentation/technical writing for both new installations and internal machinery on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), equipment testing, technical writing, and maintenance schedules/procedures.
Product Design Engineer
Inclusion Pathways - Red Bank, NJ - 05/2024-Present
Lead design, development and product management of Children’s Learning Kits from conceptualization to prototyping to final product, including detailed drawings; 3D models; physical prototypes w/ fabrication skills, CAD design ,machine shop skills, and documentation.
Products designed with special-needs machine operators in mind, prioritizing safety and accessibility in materials and assembly.
Worked closely with marketing, management and clients to ensure products meet customer and operator needs; timelines, budgets, & quality standards were met; testing/validation was performed; and continual design/manufacturing improvements were made
Worked in depth with 3D printers, laser cutters, machine shop tools, Fusion 360 and Photoshop
Production Engineer
LiDestri Food and Drink - Rochester, NY - 2021-2022
Worked day-to day in installation/calibration/maintenance of automated equipment, as part of installation of new automation cells
Responsible for packaging at output of production line for canned drinks - troubleshot/repaired machinery including industrial robots (FANUC), HMIs, packing machines, conveyors, sensors, electronic control circuitry, PLCs (Allen Bradley) and more
Instructed/communicated with operators in usage of machinery, maintained documentation and assisted with production on floor
Observed Food Safety Standards and maintained open communication lines between production, engineering and maintenance.
Tutor/Proctor - SAT/ACT/AP/K-12
C2 Education/The Princeton Review/Mathnasium. - Bridgewater/Livingston/Edison, NJ - 2016-2024
On a part-time basis throughout my career, tutored and mentored students in both high-school SAT/ACT content and K-12 curriculum material and private school entry test material (SSAT/ISEE).
Gained lasting skills in public speaking and information presentation that have served me well in all fields.
Designed customized SAT/ACT preparation plans for individual students, resulting in a consistent 150-250 score improvement across all sections, with many students achieving perfect or near-perfect scores.
Implemented a variety of teaching methods and strategies, including personalized problem-solving frameworks and interactive visualizations of math concepts to make learning more engaging and effective.
Utilized diagnostic tests and practice exams to track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly, ensuring students consistently performed at high levels. Conducted in-depth assessments to identify areas of weakness and tailored lesson plans to address specific student needs.
Worked with Front-end to set the curriculum and manage both logistics (lesson planning, inventory, documentation and reporting) and client relations (communications, expectations, scheduling).
